King Soopers gas station reopens after shooting investigation

(COLORADO SPRINGS) — A local King Soopers gas station has opened back up after the Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD) said the gas station would remain closed for an extended period of time for a shooting investigation.
On Monday, Jan. 20, CSPD responded to a shooting in the parking lot of a King Soopers on Stetson Hills Boulevard near North Powers Boulevard. Upon arrival, officers found one person dead of an apparent gunshot wound inside a car near the gas pumps of the King Soopers gas station.

On Wednesday, Jan. 22, the King Soopers gas station was back open after CSPD said the gas station would remain closed for an extended period of time for the investigation.
Anyone who has information or was a witness is asked to call CSPD at (719) 444-7000. A suspect has not been identified yet, and the Homicide Unit continues to investigate, including the development of suspect information.
