ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — The Rochester Lilac Festival is announcing some new features, including the grand marshal of the Lilac Parade. Festival organizers announced there will now be walking tours, a farmer's market, and a non-alcoholic bar. Furthermore, Karen Iglesia of Primetime585 will be the grand marshal of this year's parade. The two tours — Flower City Flora Tour and Highland Park Historical Tour — are free for guests to experience. They will be offered in two formats: a scheduled tour with guides and a self-guided tour in both English and Spanish. More details on these tours will be announced later. The new farmer's market will run on May 12 and May 14 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Guests can find it behind the Children's Wooden Playground and can buy farm-to-table fresh food, small-market products, and more. Lastly, it was announced that the Zero Proof Social Club will offer a fully, non-alcoholic bar experience. It will serve "mocktails" and non-alcoholic beer and wine. There will also be special experiences on the Vision Financial VIP SkyDeck in recognition of Mother's Day.
