WEATHER ALERT: Watch for icy roads and sidewalks. It will be quite frigid into Thursday morning. Below zero wind chills are expected again Wednesday morning. Dress for the cold, especially if you'll be spending an extended period of time outdoors. And don't forget the pets! They feel the cold, too. Good morning! Hope you're staying warm within this cold snap. One more frigid day, then a warm up starts Thursday. Looking ahead there are no big storms in sight and our weather stays mainly dry. Speaking of big storms, the Deep South and the Gulf Coast got hit with a whopper of a storm (by their standards)...more on that below. Afternoon highs will be in the low 20s, but even mid afternoon wind chills will be in the teens. | | BEACH AND BOATING FORECASTS TONIGHT Partly to mostly cloudy skies tonight, and temperatures won't be quite as cold. Lows around 11 in the Providence area. TOMORROW While Thursday morning will start out cold, it'll end up a little 'warmer' in the afternoon with higsh in the low 30s. We'll have a blend of clouds and sun through the day...a little more in the way of clouds in the morning. LOOKING AHEAD Friday will feature more sunshine with afternoon highs in the low 30s.
