Sanger to kick off Blossom Trail bloom with annual ceremony
Jan 21, 2025
FRESNO COUNTY, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – The fruit and nut trees are starting to blossom in Fresno County, and the City of Sanger is marking the occasion with the county's 37th annual Blossom Trail Opening Ceremony.
The roughly 60-mile trail winds through the countryside, connecting Sanger, Centerville, Minkler, Reedley and the area just south of Clovis. While visitors can take photos of the blossoms from the shoulder of the road, the orchards on the trail are private property.
The flowers typically bloom mid-February through mid-March and include almond, cherry, peach, plum, nectarine, and apricot to name a few. Although they may vary in color, the blossoms can be identified with the help of the photographs below.

The Blossom Trail Opening Ceremony will take place in Sanger Park on Academy Ave. between 4th and 5th streets on Friday, Feb. 7 from noon until 2 p.m.
Those interested in attending are asked to RSVP online.
