TAUNTON, Mass. (WPRI) — A teenager riding a mini-motorcycle was hit by a car in Taunton Tuesday afternoon, according to police.
Taunton Police Chief Edward Walsh said officers were called to the intersection of Somerset Avenue and Silverwood Drive to investigate reports of a crash.
Walsh said it appears a 14-year-old boy was hit by an oncoming car while riding his Kayo mini-motorcycle near the intersection. He was rushed to Morton Hospital with serious injuries.
The driver of the car, identified as a 17-year-old girl, was not injured.
It's unclear if the driver will be facing charges.
