CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The I-85 southbound on-ramp to interstate 77 south is back open. It was closed for several hours after a cattle trailer overturned. It happened just after midnight in north Charlotte. We are told the animals were contained in the trailer, but we don’t know if they were hurt or killed. The driver was not seriously hurt. The North Carolina State Highway Patrol is investigating the incident.
