FRESNO, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) - Sploches of pink, red, and white painted a scene Tuesday morning after a sleepy driver crashed in Fresno County, the California Highway Patrol announced.
CHP says around 10:30 a.m. they responded to southbound Highway 41 and Mountain View Road for a reported collision.
Officers say a tired driver fell asleep at the wheel and rear-ended a car and a delivery truck stopped at a red light. The car rear-ended was transporting paint which splattered both cars and the roadway.
CHP reports thanks to seatbelts, everyone involved only sustained minor injuries. No arrest was made.
Officers remind drivers to stop and rest if they are tired, as drowsy driving is inherently dangerous.
