TULARE COUNTY, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) - A man is dead after a suspected DUI rollover collision in southwest Tulare County early Tuesday morning, the California Highway Patrol announced. CHP says around 12:25 a.m. they received a 9-1-1 call regarding a crash in the area of Highway 190, east of Burnett Drive in Tipton. Investigators say a man was traveling eastbound on Highway 190 east of Burnett Drive when, for reasons yet to be determined, he lost control and made an unsafe turn to the left. Officers say the Honda crashed into the guardrail, leaving the roadway and rolling down the embankment before coming to a rest on its wheels facing southeast on the right shoulder of Highway 99. CHP says the unsealtbelted driver sustained fatal injuries from the impact and is believed to have been under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
