The boy was arrested Jan. 10, one day after a man was shot in the 20000 block of East 62nd Drive after seeing a “suspicious” red sedan outside his home.
A person in the car shot the man, who later died at the hospital, Aurora police said. The man’s name has not been released by the Adams and Broomfield County Coroner’s Office.
Investigators believe the boy knew the man’s family but did not know him personally. The district attorney’s office did not release the boy’s name because he is a juvenile and the case is filed in juvenile court.
