U.S. Ski Team: Parkite Rosie Brennan rounded out her Les Rousses World Cup with a 26th place showing in the event’s sprint race. Brennan returned at Les Rousses, after missing the Val di Fiemme Cup earlier this month with injury. Brennan also finished 28th in Friday’s 10km race. Brennan and the rest of the tour’s skiers will be in Engadin, Switzerland, this weekend for their next cup. Parkite aerialists Chris Lillis, Karenna Elliott and Kyra Dossa posted strong results at the first cup of the season in Lake Placid. Lillis finished ninth on the men’s side, and Elliott and Dossa sixth and ninth, respectively, on the women’s side. A U.S. team with fellow Parkites Kaila Kuhn and Ian Schoenwald finished in sixth place in a team event. All the aerials Parkites will be back in action this weekend for the second cup of their season in Lac-Beauport, Canada.Parkite ski jumper Paige Jones finished 34th and 36th in two large hill events at the Sapporo, Japan World Cup over the weekend. Jones is now ranked 36th in the world in her third season on tour. Jones and the rest of the female ski jumpers will be in Zao, Japan, this week for their next cup, featuring all normal hill events. Parkite Nordic combined skiers Ben Loomis and Stephen Schumann posted solid results in the Schonach World Cup over the weekend. Loomis finished 24th and 49th in Saturday and Sunday’s Gundersen normal hill and compact normal hill events, respectively. Schumann finished 47th and 28th in those same events, respectively. Loomis, Schumann and the rest of the Nordic combined field will be in Seefeld, Austria, for the next cup Jan. 30-Feb. 2. Woodward: Woodward Park City will be hosting an ollie clinic Friday from 5-6 p.m. The clinic is free to members and $25 for non-members. Anyone aged 7 and up can learn the basics of a skateboarding ollie trick from expert coaches.
