Jan 21, 2025
MEMPHIS, Tenn. -- The Memphis Police Department is searching for a duo they say stole hundreds of dollars worth of meat from an East Memphis grocery store.
On January 11, around 5:30 p.m., a man and woman were dropped off in front of Superlo Foods on Quince Road by a person in an early 2000s Dodge truck.
The man and woman entered the store, stuffed around $400 worth of various cuts of meat into their clothing, and walked out of the store without paying. The suspects then fled the area in the Dudge truck.
Memphis Police say this is not the first meat heist since the new year.
