Winter weather to impact public transportation operations

CHARLESTON COUNTY, S.C. (WCBD) – Public transportation services will be impacted Tuesday and Wednesday due to winter weather conditions.
Ice, sleet, and snow are forecast for the Charleston area Tuesday night into Wednesday morning, creating hazardous travel conditions.
Charleston Area Regional Transportation Authority, or CARTA, will end service at 8 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday service will be dependent on weather and road conditions.
TriCounty Link, which provides transportation services to rural residents, will not provide services Wednesday.
The Berkeley-Charleston-Dorchester Council of Governments said that TriCounty Link service will continue its normal operation Tuesday but the service will not be provided Wednesday.
