Heart of the City collecting donations for teens affected by the Los Angeles fires

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — Join Heart of the City in supporting kids and teens affected by the Los Angeles fires.
Heart of the City is teaming up with Houchin Blood Bank to collect much-needed items for children and teens impacted by the devastating fires in Los Angeles.

Areen Sandhu, Kabir Singh-Uppal, and Landon Wells, Heart of the City Ambassadors, joined 17 News at Sunrise to discuss the upcoming LA Fire Youth Donation Drive event.
Donation Items:
Books
School supplies
Non-perishable snacks
Food Items
Water
Gently used clothing (all sizes)
Blankets
Personal hygiene items

If you have any questions regarding what you can donate you can contact Heart of the City at 661-205-4079.
Donations will be accepted until January 31. Items will be personally delivered the first week of February.
You can drop off items at all three Houchin Blood Bank locations, as well as California Cardiovascular Institute during normal business.
