HOWARD COUNTY, Md. (DC News Now) -- Firefighters in Ellicott City battled frigid temperatures to rescue a dog Monday night. According to the Howard County Department of Fire and Rescue Services, firefighters responded to the 10800 block of Timber Lane after a dog had fallen through the ice of a frozen pond. FORECAST: Bitter blast sticks around through Wednesday Responders quickly rescued the dog from the icy conditions and reunited him with his family.
