MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Md. (DC News Now) -- The driver of a tractor-trailer was injured after they were involved in a crash on Interstate 270 Tuesday morning. In a post on the X platform, Pete Piringer with the Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Service said the crash happened around 6 a.m. on I-270 North near Montrose Road. According to the Maryland State Police (MSP), the crash also involved a vehicle. The driver of the tractor-trailer was taken to the hospital, and their condition is currently unknown. There were no other injuries reported at the scene, according to MSP. For more than five hours, several lanes on I-270 were closed Tuesday. The crash is under investigation by MSP.
