Recordbreaking cold temperatures reported in Kansas this morning

WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) - The National Weather Service says several locations in Kansas saw record-breaking cold temperatures on Tuesday.
Wichita fell to -9 degrees, breaking a -7 degree record that was set in 1935. Salina also set a record low temperature for the day at -13 degrees, breaking the previous -7 set in 1935. In Russell, the temperature fell to -8 degrees, tying the previous record set in 1966.
An Extreme Cold Warning runs until noon for several counties in western Kansas.
The KSN Storm Track 3 Weather team is tracking a warmup. By the end of the workweek, western Kansas could have a few highs in the low 50s.
Over 2,700 campers rough it in the cold during Trappers Rendevous in Harvey County
