WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) - The Sedgwick County Sheriff's Office is reporting an inmate death at the Sedgwick County Jail.
The sheriff's office says the 29-year-old inmate, who was not identified, was found on the floor, and medical personnel were notified and responded. Life-saving measures were attempted, but the inmate was pronounced dead around 10:52 p.m. Monday.
The sheriff's office says the inmate has been in custody since Dec. 23, 2023, facing charges of aggravated domestic battery, domestic battery, and possession of opiates.
