BAZAAR, Kan. (KSNW) -- A Kansas teen was hurt in a weather-related crash on the Kansas Turnpike.
The Kansas Highway Patrol says it happened shortly after 10 a.m. Monday, about 2 miles north of the Bazaar Cattle Pens and scenic overlook area in Chase County. Troopers say an 18-year-old Shawnee woman lost control of her Mazda CX-5 on the slick roadway.

The car hit the barrier wall, entered the right ditch, and struck the embankment and the ditch, where it rolled several times. The teen was taken by EMS to Newman Regional Health in Emporia to be treated for potentially serious injuries.
No other vehicles were involved in the crash, and no one else was hurt.
