Dangerousness hearing for Ware man charged with rape, kidnapping, sexual contact with animals

BELCHERTOWN, Mass. (WWLP) - A dangerousness hearing will be held for a Ware man who is facing several charges, including rape, kidnapping, and sexual contact with an animal.
Multiple arrested during search warrant at Webb Court in Ware
Michael Stanikmas, 34, was arrested on January 13th after an investigation conducted by Ware detectives and troopers from the State Police Unit of the Hampden District Attorney’s Office, according to the Ware Police Department.
The investigation began when a woman came into the Ware Police Station to report concerns of hearsay about an alleged bestiality and child sexual assault. Statements were provided by several parties, one of which indicated Stanikmas allegedly had sexual contact with the family’s dog.

Stanikmas was charged with the following:
Sexual contact with animals (2 counts)
Domestic strangulation/suffocation
Indecent assault and battery on a child under 14
Kidnapping
Witness intimidation
Assault and battery on family/household member
Rape
Assault and battery
