Bitter Cold Hanging on in Southern New England
Jan 21, 2025
The Arctic chill continues across southern New England. High temperatures today will only reach the upper teens and low 20s. Clouds will increase throughout the day as well. On the bright side, the beautiful snow we saw yesterday won’t melt away anytime too soon. At least there’s that.
Overnight temperatures are back to single digits, and wind chill values will be at or below zero. We also have a storm to our south that looks like it’ll send a few snow showers to parts of the South Coast and parts of Washington County, RI. While those snow showers will be long gone before Wednesday’s morning commute, take it east behind the wheel as there will likely be some slick and icy spots.
Wednesday is still bitter cold with temperatures in the upper teens and low 20s once again. We’ll have more sunshine on Wednesday before clouds return Thursday. Highs on Thursday will be in the low 30s! Not warm, but warmer. Temperatures continue to limb into the weekend!
