MEMPHIS, Tenn. -- Two men assaulted a gas station employee in Nutbush on Monday after being confronted about an earlier theft they were accused of committing, police say. A little after 2:12 a.m., officers say the two suspects came into the BP gas station on 4286 Macon Road and walked to the beer case. Both suspects then walked up to the counter and attempted to purchase the two cans of beer, police say. That is when the victim says he came from behind the counter to confront the two men about a theft they were responsible for earlier that morning. At that time, police say the suspect threw both beer cans at the victim before hitting him on the left side of his face. The victim says he went back behind the counter, locked the front door with the suspects still inside, and then called the police. Thieves steal over $1K worth of meat from Walmart: MPD One of the suspects went to the chip aisle and placed his handgun in the display while the other suspect is accused of shooting out the bottom glass of the front door. Both suspects left the scene. No arrests have been made at this time, but this is still an ongoing investigation. Both suspects are wanted for aggravated assault, simple assault, vandalism, and reckless endangerment.
