FRANKFORT, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) – Flags across Kentucky have been lowered back to half-staff after being temporarily raised Monday for President Donald Trump’s inauguration ceremony.
According to Governor Andy Beshear’s office, flags had been at half-staff statewide to honor former President Jimmy Carter but were raised Monday in recognition of the inauguration. As of Tuesday, flags have been returned to half-staff and will remain so until Tuesday, January 28, as part of the ongoing tribute.
