WASHINGTON (NEXSTAR) - President Donald Trump is wasting no time in his second term. He signed a flurry of executive orders and pardons not long after taking the oath of office. On his first day in office, President Trump signed more than 200 executive actions and orders. One keeps TikTok online temporarily and another pardons the January sixth rioters. President Trump pardoned about 1,500 people charged in the attack on the Capitol four years ago. He also ordered the attorney general not to enforce a ban on TikTok.  The Chinese owned video sharing app for 75 days.   "It's got tremendous value,” said Trump. The executive actions were just some of those signed at the White House Monday night. He signed others in front of a crowd at Capital One Arena to stop new regulations, direct federal workers back to the office and declare an emergency at the southern border. "As Commander in Chief, I have no higher responsibility than to defend our country from threats and invasions and that is exactly what I am going to do,” said Trump. The slew of executive actions came hours after being sworn into office inside the U.S. Capitol, after cold weather forced the ceremony inside. Inaugural events continued into the night to toast the new president and Vice President JD Vance. The president has more on his agenda Tuesday.   He's set to meet with Republican congressional leaders at the White House and attend a service at the National Cathedral.
