(WGHP) — A century-old Chinese tile game is exploding in popularity across the United States. More and more people are learning to play Mahjong, including here in the Piedmont. Two to four people can play at a time, working to match tiles and be the first to create a sequence. So many people want to learn that a Greensboro woman created a business to teach groups of people how to play. Palmar Ortmann started her classes last fall and is now booking into March. She says Mahjong builds community and people enjoy gathering around a table for old-fashioned fun. For more information, visit The Mahjong Line website.
