Water main break on Mason Street in Green Bay Police say a vehicle was heading south on Gillingham Road when the driver drove it off the roadway, hit a fire hydrant, turned down an embankment, and crashed into a tree before spinning violently and coming to rest of its passenger side. A nearby resident, 30-year-old Tanner Ater, is said to have heard the crash, saw the car on its side smoking, and heard a passenger scream for help. Despite the outdoor temperature of -8 degrees Ater immediately rushed to the scene of the crash with a fire extinguisher in hand and used it on the vehicle's engine compartment.
