CSPD: Human remains found in Pueblo West identified as missing Colorado Springs man

(COLORADO SPRINGS/PUEBLO WEST, Colo.) — Human remains found in Pueblo West have been identified as Santino Cardella, a man reported missing from Colorado Springs, according to the Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD).
CSPD reported that in April of 2022, 28-year-old Cardella was reported missing and during the investigation, CSPD received information that foul play may have been involved. In October 2024, police received additional information that Cardella was possibly buried somewhere in Pueblo.

Police obtained a search warrant for six pieces of land in Pueblo West and found suspected human remains during the search. The remains were later identified as Cardella and the Coroner's Office is working to determine the cause and manner of death.
