BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) -- A teenage boy is hospitalized after he was struck by a vehicle while riding his bike against traffic in east Bakersfield, according to Bakersfield police. According to the Bakersfield Police Department, a large group of juveniles were intentionally riding their bikes the wrong way in the street and doing wheelies. The 14-year-old boy was hit while riding his bike eastbound in the westbound lanes of traffic. 3 arrested in fatal shooting at Super 8 Motel The teen suffered major injuries and was taken to the hospital in critical condition, the department said. The accident happened around 2 p.m. on East Truxtun Ave and Williams Street on Monday. Anyone with information on the accident is asked to contact BPD at 661-327-7111.
