BLACKLICK, Ohio (WCMH) – A 4-year-old girl is dead after a home was shot at early Tuesday. According to the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to a home on Beardsley Avenue near Blacklick after reports of a targeted shooting. The shooting occurred at the Jefferson Township home around 4:30 a.m. The sheriff’s office said the shooting was not random. Incoming law allows schools to indefinitely expel students for threats, hitlists The child was reportedly sleeping upstairs when she was shot. The girl was taken to a hospital, where she was pronounced dead at 5:44 a.m. Deputies said other people were in the home but did not report any additional injuries. They also said no one is in custody and that the state Bureau of Criminal Investigation is assisting their efforts.
