An argument sparked a shooting that left a 41-year-old man dead over the weekend in Greater Grand Crossing, police said. A Monday autopsy determined the still-unidentified man died of multiple gunshot wounds, according to the Cook County medical examiner's office. The man was outside in the 7400 block of South State Street arguing with the assailant who fatally shot him before fleeing in a black vehicle about 3:45 a.m. Sunday, police said. The 41-year-old was taken to the University of Chicago Medical Center where he was pronounced dead at 4:13 a.m., the medical examiner's office said. His death was ruled a homicide and no arrests have been made. Area 1 detectives are investigating.
