Four school buses catch fire in Wilbraham parking lot

WILBRAHAM, Mass. (WWLP) - Crews worked to put out a fire at a school bus parking lot in Wilbraham Tuesday morning.

The fire started just before 1:30 a.m. near 2043 Boston Road in Wilbraham at the Wilbraham Bus Garage. When 22News crews arrived, they could see smoke coming from multiple school buses as first responders continued to put out any embers.
The Wilbraham Fire Department states that four buses were on fire. Due to the fire, there will be a two-hour delay for the Hampden-Wilbraham Regional School District, all of Ludlow Public Schools, and St. John the Baptist School in Ludlow.
As of right now, Boston Road in Wilbraham is closed in front of the Big Y and that is near 2043 Boston Road, which could impact your morning commute.
The cause of the fire is being investigated. 22News will continue to update this story as soon as more information becomes available.
