Warming shelters open throughout western Massachusetts for those in need

HOLYOKE, Mass. (WWLP) - Emergency warming shelters are opening in towns across western Massachusetts due to the cold weather.
How cold will Massachusetts temperatures get?
The Bangs Community Center in Amherst will be open from Tuesday through Thursday from 8:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m.
The Easthampton Public Safety Complex is open all day and the Easthampton Council on Aging will be open until Wednesday from 8:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m..
The Holyoke shelter located on 51 Hamilton Street will be open until Friday, providing hot meals, showers, clothing, and a place to sleep.
The city of Northampton is also opening warming shelters. There is a list of non-profit organizations the city is partnering with to keep their doors open for those in need of a safe and warm place.
A Cold Weather Advisory is in effect until 10 a.m. Wednesday in western Hampshire, western Franklin, & northern Berkshire County. Windchill as low as 23 below zero possible.
