HILTON, N.Y. (WROC) — Sometimes a single standout performance can earn our title of Player of the Week. Having two or three great games is a bonus. But Hilton senior Mallory Heise had four stellar showings to be named our Player of the Week. On Thursday night, she had a program-record 41 points in a win over Brighton. She also tallied 14 rebounds and six assists. It's a clean sweep for Heise in the scoring record books, as she's already Hilton's leading scorer for her career. Two days prior, she scored 30 rebounds and grabbed eight rebounds in a victory over Fairport. And this weekend, the Cadets took a trip to the Southern Tier and got a pair of wins against state-ranked teams. The St. Bonaventure commit tallied 22 points, 8 rebounds, and 7 assists in a win over Horseheads on Saturday, then put up 34 points and 11 rebounds as the Cadets took down Waverly. Waverly had not lost this season and was ranked 18th in Class B. The Cadets are 11-0 this season and are currently the top-ranked team in the NYSSWA Class AA rankings. The defending state finalists are hungry for more this year and our Player of the Week is a big reason why.
