FRESNO COUNTY, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) - A driver has been arrested after the California Highway Patrol says he put the "entire community at risk" for allegedly driving under the influence. In a social media post on Monday, CHP says a three-time DUI offender driver lost control and crashed into multiple parked cars, a power pole, a mailbox and a metal pole before the damage forced him to stop. The driver, who officers say was only slightly injured, exited his mangled truck and tried to flee the scene. However, officers located and arrested him under suspicion of DUI. "The consequences of driving under the influence are far-reaching. Decisions like this can change lives forever. Don’t take the risk," CHP said.
