"We're a small little church but full of bighearted people": Topeka church providing warmth during cold temperatures

TOPEKA (KSNT) - With temperatures plummeting, one local church has opened their doors to keep people warm.
Central Park Christian Church opened their doors Sunday, Jan. 19, and will continue to stay open until the morning of Monday, Jan. 21.
They are offering snacks, places to sleep, and comforting supplies all under a warm roof.
"We're a small little church but full of big-hearted people," Rick Fleming, lead pastor at Central Park Christian Church, said. "So, we're doing pretty good in terms of supplies and food. We also had the rescue mission send over some food for us and extra sleeping mats and things like that. So, we're in pretty good shape at least for tonight. "

The church told 27 News it opens their doors to everyone for all emergencies. Central Park Christian Church is located at 1535 SW Clay St.
