SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) - The Springfield Thunderbirds have launched a new app that allows fans to stay date on games, tickets, and sales. The new software was made in collaboration with the Thunderbirds' website developer, making the system just like the team's website. This will allow fans to sign up for push notifications to be the first to know about Game-scoring updates, special promotional offers, and team news and players. Nate Costa, President of the Springfield Thunderbirds told 22News, "A lot of times they're getting called up to St Louis or they're here and it's a chance to see where they are and like what their stats are in the standings and all that. It's just an easier experience than having to deal with the NHL app. That's what we had heard from our fans." The T-birds will continue to add extra features to the app as it continues to update. The app is available in both the Apple Store and Google Play.
