Lobos' Dent scores 20 in 9567 blowout of Fresno State

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – Richard Pitino's UNM Lobos men's basketball team celebrated the MLK holiday with a 95-67 home victory over Fresno State Monday. The victory gave the Lobos a season sweep of the Bulldogs. Five Lobos scored in double figures as UNM went wire to wire, starting the game on a 16-0 run and never trailing.
Donovan Dent scored 20 points and dished out 9 assists. Mustapha Amzil scored 15 points and pulled down 7 rebounds. He was followed by Tru Washington, who scored 13 points. Jovan Milicevic finished with 11 points while Nelly Junior Joseph contributed a double-double of 10 points and 15 rebounds.
UNM tied their best shooting performance from the three-point line this season, going 13 of 30. Brian Amuneke led the Bulldogs with 18 points in a losing effort. With the win the Lobos improved to 16-4 overall and 8-1 in the Mountain West. Fresno State dropped to 5-14 overall, 1-7 in league play.
The Lobos are at UNLV on Saturday for a 1 p.m. Mountain time game that will air on Fox. Fresno State is at Colorado State next.
