Mon evening forecast – Jan 20, 2025 Closings and Delays INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Monday started off with extremely cold temperatures as minimum wind chills were down to negative 15 to negative 20, which is the lowest we’ve seen this month. Expect dangerous wind chills to persist into midweek before we pick back up on warmer temperatures. Cold weather advisories remain in place until Wednesday morning. Monday night: Cloud cover is expected to increase tonight as we deal with another slew of single digit to subzero low temperatures. Wind chill values will be as low as negative five to negative 15 into Tuesday morning. Tuesday: There is potential for spotty snow showers to start off our Tuesday before any chance of that disappears by the afternoon hours. Skies will start off mostly-mainly cloudy and then turn more clear by Tuesday night with a breezy wind at times. Temperatures will struggle to get out of the single digits with wind chill values hovering down into the negative five to negative 15 degree range throughout the day. Limit time outdoors and bundle up from head to toe as frostbite and hypothermia can settle in as little as 30 minutes in these conditions. Wednesday: Another freezing cold morning arrives Wednesday with temperatures starting off below zero in spots with minimum wind chills of negative ten to negative 20 degrees. Breezy winds will set up out of the south and lead way to highs returning to the 20s. Wind gusts will be up to 20-30 MPH at times. 7-Day Forecast: The warmup rolls on through Thursday with another chance for some snow showers. Highs get into the upper 20s to low 30s before we stall out there into Friday. We get even warmer for the final weekend of January with numbers pushing into the mid to upper 30s.
