(WFRV) - Communities across northeastern Wisconsin celebrated the life and impact of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. today.
The Oshkosh Area School District (OASD) held its inaugural Martin Luther King Jr. Day Celebration, where students, families, staff, and community members honored the legacy of Dr. King.
This community-wide celebration had several engagements including a continental breakfast, a keynote speaker, community networking opportunities, and the recognition of the district's MLK Jr. Essay Contest winners.
Dr. King showed us that meaningful change happens when communities come together with purpose. Through this celebration, we're creating a space where people of all ages can experience how his message of unity and service remains vital today. Our entire community has a role to play in advancing his vision of a better world.
