Governor McMaster announces Richland, Lexington state offices will remain open

Columbia, SC (WOLO) — While various school districts and some businesses have decided to close early as snow gets ready to hit the Midlands, not everyone is going to be able to take advantage of an anticipated snow day tomorrow. Monday evening, Governor Henry McMaster announced that all Richland and Lexington County State Government Offices, including the University of South Carolina (USC) will remain open Tuesday January 21, 2025.
State government offices in Richland and Lexington counties will be open for business and operate as normal tomorrow until instructed otherwise. State employees in Richland and Lexington counties are to report to work tomorrow as normally scheduled.

According to a post by USC on the social media platform ‘X’, that all employees report to the University as normal unless otherwise notified. In addition, classes on campus will operate as usual.
