WASHINGTON (DC News Now) -- Half a dozen DC Fire and EMS (DCFD) units responded to a fire that broke out at an apartment complex in Southeast D.C. on Monday evening.
A spokesman for DCFD said crews were dispatched just after 6:15 p.m. to the 1600 block of 18th Street SE. A fire broke out in the flooring beneath a boiler in a second-floor apartment.

Some of the fire extended to the apartment below.
As of 6:47 p.m., the fire had been extinguished and no injuries were reported.
It was not clear whether anyone would be displaced.
