ASHBURN, Va. (DC News Now) -- A young doe was rescued after getting stuck on a frozen pond in Ashburn last week. The Loudoun County Animal Services said on Jan. 15, a doe "found herself in a spot of trouble" after getting stuck on a frozen pond. "We’re happy to report that the doe was unharmed and seemed pleased to be back on solid ground," LCAS stated in a Facebook post. Leesburg police reminds parents to warn kids about playing on frozen ponds Residents are reminded never to walk on frozen bodies of water as the ice may be thin and break without warning.
