ASHBURN, Va. (DC News Now) -- A young doe was rescued after getting stuck on a frozen pond in Ashburn last week. The Loudoun County Animal Services said on Jan. 15, a doe "found herself in a spot of trouble" after getting stuck on a frozen pond. PHOTOS: 2 dogs rescued after falling into icy pond in Loudoun County Somebody saw the poor doe in need of help and called the Loudoun County Animal Services (LCAS) and two law enforcement officers came to the doe's rescue. "We’re happy to report that the doe was unharmed and seemed pleased to be back on solid ground," LCAS stated in a Facebook post. Leesburg police reminds parents to warn kids about playing on frozen ponds Residents are reminded never to walk on frozen bodies of water as the ice may be thin and break without warning.
