San Antonio cafe chain CommonWealth Coffee House appears to be in financial trouble, with several properties connected to ownership entering foreclosure last week, according to Bexar County property records. Indeed, CommonWealth Coffee’s flagship location at 118 Davis Court off Broadway is in default, with Texas-based First National Bank of Sonora filing a default notice on a $472,000 loan on the property last week, records show. An auction for the property, which opened in 2015 as CommonWealth Coffee’s first location, is set to be held on Feb. 4.
