NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — This 15-year-old New Orleans student is inspired.
His name is Macayrin Holmes but everybody calls him "Tuba-Du".
And he does play music and organizes.
That's why he's now behind his very own brass band.
It's called Re-Creations Brass Band and WGNO Good Morning New Orleans features reporter Bill Wood has them rehearsing for the next performance.
When asked why he brought the band together, he said:
"It was a spin-off of my uncle's brass band, New Creations Brass Band. I wanted my own brass band so we could do things like play gigs or explore the world.
Their manager is a real-life "momager."
She is the mother of "Tuba-Du,"Celeste Holmes.
She keeps this group tuned up and ready to play.
They are ready for parades, concerts, and any time anybody needs some music.
Ready to create is the Re-Creations Brass Band.
Michael Jackson gave this necklace to a movie star. Now, it's for sale in the French Quarter
This group is ready to get into the groove.
