Iowa woman killed, juvenile injured after highspeed crash in Wisconsin

SUMPTER, Wis. (WFRV) – A 39-year-old Iowa woman died Sunday afternoon, and a juvenile passenger was hospitalized following a high-speed crash on U.S. Highway 12.
Shortly before 4:00 p.m., the Sauk County Sheriff's Office responded to a single-vehicle crash near U.S. Highway 12 and Groth Road in the town of Sumpter.

Upon arrival, deputies found the vehicle off the roadway in a wooded area. The driver, a 39-year-old woman from Dubuque, Iowa, was pronounced dead at the scene. A juvenile passenger was trapped inside the vehicle with serious injuries.
Emergency responders freed the passenger, who was then airlifted to a nearby hospital for treatment.
