(COLORADO SPRINGS) — The Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD) temporarily issued a shelter-in-place alert for people in a Stratton Meadows neighborhood.
Shortly after 2 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 20, a shelter-in-place order was issued via Peak Alerts near the 2030 block of Southgate Road as officers executed a search warrant in connection to an incident on Sunday, Jan. 19.

According to CSPD, a call was received on Sunday about a carjacking. The investigation led to people thought to be involved in the Copper Chase Apartments area.
Police executed a search warrant for a location in the Copper Chase Apartments, according to CSPD, and the shelter-in-place was issued as a precaution. The shelter-in-place was lifted around 3:22 p.m.
