UPDATE: CHARLOTTE, NC – A missing man with dementia has been found safe after he walked away from his home in northwest Charlotte. The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department says 68-year-old Keith Gardner has been located and was checked out by MEDIC and is okay. CMPD did not give any details on where or when. ORIGINAL STORY: CHARLOTTE, NC — Charlotte Fire and CMPD are asking for help in locating a missing man last seen in northwest Charlotte. 68-year-old Keith Gardner was last seen around 3 Sunday afternoon at his home on Glenmoore Drive near Little Rock Road. Officials said he has been diagnosed with dementia and may be disoriented. He was last seen wearing a blue sweatshirt,  green sweatpants and brown military-style boots. Anyone who knows where Gardner might be  is asked to call 911.
