BATON ROUGE, La. (Louisiana First) — Flights to and from the Baton Rouge Metropolitan Airport are expected to be impacted by the winter storm.
Officials from the Baton Rouge Metro Airport are monitoring the incoming winter storm and expect possible disruptions of flight schedules and airport operations.
The National Weather Service issued a Winter Storm Warning that will be in effect from midnight through midnight on Tuesday. Temperatures are expected to reach below freezing for the majority of the week.

United Airlines temporarily suspended flights for Tuesday.
American Airlines plans to operate flights in the morning, weather permitting. Delays or cancellations could happen.
Delta Airlines has not announced schedule changes.
A BTR spokesperson recommends travelers check flight status, allow for extra travel time and stay up-to-date with information about the weather storm before heading to the airport.
