Morelle on Trump inauguration: 'Our task as Americans is to move forward'

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — President-elect Donald Trump's inauguration ceremony will be held Monday morning as the 47th President of the United States.
Prior to the ceremony, a local representative is sharing a message of unity.
Democratic Congressman Joe Morelle shared his priorities for the 119th Congress. He is also planning for a bipartisan collaboration with the upcoming Trump administration. He said moving forward is something all Americans need to do, regardless of who is the president.

"Our task as Americans is to move forward, to find ways in Congress, even with those who disagree with the president," Morelle said. "Find ways to work with the administration and our colleagues across the aisle to make progress towards our shared goals.
Morelle also shared what he has learned over the last few years:
"If we've learned anything from the myriad of challenges that we've faced over the past few years, it's that focusing on our differences is not a recipe for success."
