FRESNO, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – Eight drivers were arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence, according to the Fresno Police Department. Police say they held an enforcement operation on Saturday night. Drivers charged with a first-time DUI can face an average of $13,500 in fines and penalties, along with a suspended license. The Fresno Police Department will conduct a DUI enforcement operation on January 25, 2025, along with additional DUI patrols and checkpoints throughout the year to ensure the safety of our roadways. Funding for this program was made possible by a grant from the California Office of Traffic Safety, through the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
