Six without home after fire on Woodmont Street in Springfield

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) - The Springfield Fire Department worked to put out a fire on Woodmont Street Monday morning.
Multi-vehicle crash slowed down morning commute on I-91 in Springfield
Springfield Fire Captain Drew Piemonte told 22News that crews were called to a house fire on 130 Woodmont Street.

Six people have been left without a home and are being assisted by the American Red Cross. No injuries were reported.
It was determined by the Springfield Arson and Bomb Squad that the fire started in the first floor kitchen, but the source of ignition is being investigated.
